ULMAS URAEV

Ulmas Uraev is a Tashkent-based actor with more than a decade of professional experience in theatre and film. He holds a Master’s degree in Theatre Arts from the State Institute of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan, where he received his early training under renowned theatre educator Shoira Hamidova, whose mentorship played a significant role in shaping his artistic vision.

He later joined the Diydor Theatre Studio under the artistic direction of Bakhodir Yuldashev, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, where he refined his classical acting skills and gained extensive stage experience. His first leading role on screen came in a film directed by Yolqin To’ychiyev, a milestone that greatly influenced his approach to nuanced, character-driven performances.

Over the years, Uraev has also portrayed leading characters in several productions at the Turon Theatre under the direction of Sayfiddin Meliyev, further enriching his theatrical repertoire and establishing his presence on the Uzbek stage.

In 2026, he made his international screen debut in Blind Sherlock, a Belgian-produced Netflix crime series.
